45 or 46?does one work with a shorter chain? what chain pitch count? Its that season and I got? Thanks in advance!

I am just experimenting. I have run 19/43 with good results. I just want to keep the r's up in all snow conditions. 163 2.5" chall extreme in cascade concrete. My chain has 1600 on it, a friend wants my 43t. So I thought I would try the low set-up. 19/46 worked great on 159 rev.

I went up 1 tooth on the driven gear.
That Is the norm. You don't have to extend the chain but get a great gear ratio.

What engine in the dragon (700 or 800)?

Whos clutch kit or what clutch setup are you running.

How many miles on the clutch, can you confirm that the belt side deflection is set, deflection is set, no grooves in the clutch face, bushings perfect in the clutch and weights, balanced well????

I run a 19-46 with 78 link chain. as does all the other D8's around here. I really like it, were we ride its all steep and in the trees so speed doesn't matter at all past say 70 MPH track speed. but it gives you a great low end pull gain. IMO

800 w/ power addiction head, wiseco dual ring, attitude fuel controller, v-force, slp single, OG 08 mapping. FTX clutching, 2010 warrantied p-85 deflection set to spec, no visible wear.

Sled works real well. I just like to play with it and make sure I am not leavin' too much on the table.

19/46 uses a 78p chain according to the gear chart. Try some heavier weights after the regearing to make sure it won't pull any more weight. With the heavy springs on the team secondary, it may go a little flat in the middle/top. Let us know what you find.

Good info guys Thanks! I will try some heavier weights or what if I removed the delrin I am preloading my secondary spring w/ ? or went to my higher degree angle on my helix? similar effect yes?
