163 vs 155

It's personal preference. Personally, I ride 155's, both with and without the turbo. I ride 9-13K', in Colorado, and the western US (Deep, Dry snow). Yes, a 163 would give me a little bit better flotation, but it would also hinder the jumping ability of the sled slightly. In addition, I ride a lot of tight trees, and even though it is only a couple inches of total sled length, I feel like I can notice it in the trees. That is my opinion, its free, but it also may not be worth anything anyone else. Form your own, by riding different track lengths and you will be happier than if you just listen to other people telling you what is "best"
X2.
I have one of each. My 2011 163" has a tipped rail and I am not sure if the 2013 does. So I don't know if that makes a difference. I think most people here are telling you it's a personal preference and ability. If one was far better than the other maybe they wouldn't make two models. Just one. Either way you'll be happy. I think when I trade/sell my 163" I will get the 155"..........but who knows.:clock:

Hey guys,
Ya, I ride a 163, it's not a pro but I sometimes think it would be easier for me to maneuver a 155, being that I only weigh 150 lbs. I think my next sled will be a 155.

Who's Chris Burandt? Last season was the first time i rode both the 155 and. 163 pro rmk in wyoming. Coming from wisconsin i never seen such a silly thing as a 163 inch track. Lol! Jk! Im. 170 pounds and preferred the 155 but surprised at the ease the 163 was to ride. Agree with some of the post, depends on what you like to do. Ride both, best way to tell what you want.

As some have said, it really depends what you're into as far as riding and where. I sled/ski and the 163" really helps. My wife is 140 and the 155 is all she needs.

I started out riding a 153 for my first sled and have then since stretched it to a 162. Pushing 230lb and smoking through the trees in deeper powder was always difficult. Just not enough track there to support a fat *** like mine. After a couple of trips to Golden and Revy in powder like this, I was ready for a longer track. My advise is to go with the longer track. :face-icon-small-hap

I'm 210 and ride a 155 and absolutely love it! It's all personal preference your buddy will be happy with either one.
