163.9 hp e tec

hope it works out for BRP, too bad it weighs so much more then the 800R....but its a true blue injected 2 smoke and could be the best trail engine ever made, but im not sure its gonna work out for the mtns, its a big fat fail if the MPG is even close to a 800R

The great fuel and oil consumption is at the EPA mandated test speeds... a little south of where you spend your time when riding deep powder or steep hills.

And as a very good engine builder once said about dyno hp numbers... "I haven't ever been beaten by a dyno".

It will be interesting to see how it actually compares out... the ones I rode were not fully calibrated and they were no faster than the carbed motor.

163.9 would be like 10+ hp more than the carbed 800 wouldn't it? Yea, I don't believe we'll see that in the production sleds.

163.9 h.p. at Sea Level? What's that equal at elevation?

wins!!!!!:)

With the added weight, un-proven 800 etec (and BRP's history of poor first year model release) and the economy, curious how it will sell compared to the 2010 m8?

On another note, what is the estimated HP loss at elevation? Heard 30% thrown around often.
