162 in a MM 700

Just bought my buddy's MM 700. Had a 162 track on it already with extensions built on the skid. Ripped it out last night and put a 08 phazer 162 skid in there. New bolt holes and plates in front of the tunnel and than a plate to match the bolt hole for the middle of the skid ran it and she's smooth. Can't wait to surprise the hell outta ppl when that thing is ripping it up

i would be curious as to a 162" phazer skid. wasnt aware these were offered in the 08 phazer mtx's. second thing to come to mind is the fitment of a 3" pitch track and getting any bulkhead clearance unless you shaved the track or happened upon say some custom built 6t drivers. you would be adding at least 1/2" in diameter using 7t 3" pitch drivers over the stock 8t 2.52 drivers.

sorry, without a drop and roll, unless you have pictures, that 162 didnt effectively happen without extreme modifications.

I will put up some pics ASAP. It was easy to do man my buddy had the tunnel extension already built. The stock skid had extensions bolted on with different drivers and the 162. I don't know wat drivers are on there. So we put the phazer skid in and lined up the front most bolt hole and drilled through the side of the tunnel. Made some small plates for either side to make it strong and bolted it up. We then dropped the tunnel down to where we wanted it to sit which is a little higher than stock. Made a plate that is like the stock one bolted it to the tunnel than the skid and than tighten up the slack in the track. The track is 16 wide also with 2 in paddle I believe. Ill put up photos tonight hopefully This weekend for sure

I'm not exactly sure what skid you put in there, but the 08 phaser was a 144, and the Nytro was a 153. The only sled they offered with a 162 was the Apex. looking forward to seeing pics of the beast.

ya sorry its a nytro skid thats under it not the phazer.. thats probly why you all thought i was messed up in the head. the nytro was a 162 cuz it fit right into the track with the modded suspension bolt holes ans plate on the tunnel..and it has the 8's for drivers . couldnt get a pic of it quite yet as its in my buddies garage along with 3 other sleds so a little tight to get some good shots of the setup.. will asap though for u none believers

The track is a 162x16x2" , it's off my old summit 1000. Has about 1/6" of clearance to the Cooler. About 3000 miles with it and no problems
