16" Track on Summit

I have a 01 Summit 800 with a 144" track. Wanting to extend that to a
159" x 16" wide. Will the extra width fit through my tunnel?
Any info on this project would be helpful

been there done that...no problems. If you are going with a lug taller than 2" you will need to get different drivers and lower the idler wheels that are located about half way back on the tunnel for clearance. Other than that i didn't even have to grind any bolts or rivets. You'll love it.

someone told me that you had to put on thinner tunnel supports for clearance. You know anything about this?

The most I did was add a couple washers to spread the tunnel out a little on the rear idlers where the drop brackets go. If in doubt take a pice of 16" wide cardboard and run it through the tunnel to see where the tight spots are. If it hits something...grind it off.
