16 - 17 ecu ?

Long story short, my buddy's 17 ecu is n.f.g. can a 16 ecu be put in its place with no problems ? For a few rides tell the new one comes in.

I'm not sure about the rest of the parameters, BUT make sure that the installed ECU has the correct oil pump number on it. The oil pump numbers are manually inputed through Digital Wrench because of the different flow rates of the pumps.
