JUST PICKED UP A 16 X 2 1/4 X159 TRACK AND WANT TO PUT IT UNDER MY 2002 ZX...Does anyone know of any problems i might run into? any info would be great and thanks in advance..

You'll need to grind the bolts on the inside of the tunnel down on the chaincase side that holds the chaincase in place. Some grinding on some rivets in the tunnel where it looks like the track may rub otherwise. It's been several years since I've done it, but I think that is about it. The 2.25" lug will be tight, but it should be fine.

I know some guys have put a shim between the rear suspension mount and the drop down brackets to spread it a little, I did that on one of them and think that that worked fine.

Hope that helps, I loved the 16" wide on my zx chassis'!

Best "mod" I did to my old ZX! Take a piece of cardboard and cut it 16" wide and run it down the tunnel to see where you need to make room. You should be able to see where the track runs in the tunnel. I have no idea about the 2.25 lug track, I used a 2" and went down a size in drivers even.

you will need to drop one tooth with your driver. The 2.25 lug will not clear the heat exchanger with stock drivers. been there done that. but it was the best mod i made to that sled.

do have to gring the chain case bolts.put rev chain case bolts and turn the small screws next to your feet around nut out, drop brackets,it is right to drop to 8 tooth drivers, also set the drivers up for the 16 wide i beleave they are farther apart.

If using combo drivers set the drivers either "out" or "in" a little to keep the track where you want it in the tunnel.

When I put 16 wide under mine, the tightest spot in the tunnel was the tunnel reinforcment brackets, I removed them and put external braces on the footbed and tunnel, works fine, can get them from an MXZX model or from the aftermarket such as Specialty Sleds.
With a 156x16x2.5 I'm running 7t extros and 19/45 gears with stock chain(have to remove idler in chaincase to install chain, then reinstall).
