155 to 163 pro

You do not need a tunnel extension, i went 155 to a 163 with no problem, if you drill out your mud flap holes a quarter inch higher and remount it you will not have any issues, cooling was the same either way. I went with ice age rails, total money out of my pocket was about $100, sold my rails and track and bought a new used 163 and the new rails.

A tunnel extension is needed for 155-163... the track will hit the tunnel under full compression and the snow flap will get destroyed.

SLP makes a kit for around $150 iirc. Super nice kit and easy to install.

HMMMM, i guess i have not had this problem, i'm 220 without gear and i compress the suspension quit a bit, my flap is still in one piece, hence the flap relocate, must have helped, not starting something, just saying you do NOT need an extension if your on a budget.

I changed my 2011 from 155 to 163 and did not do the extension either. I changed the rear carbonfiber bumper to an aluminum tube (I have a lathe, built my own) and pop riveted the snow flap to the bumper via the center stop on the flap. Works great!!

Did you buy tube stock then turn down the whole tube or just the ends?
I would like to make one out of smaller square stock. What do you think?

Ever looked at a cat? The Polaris tunnel looks way too long beside one. A friend has a 163 tunnel with a 174x3" and a drop an roll. Just has straps pulling his flap up a bit.

Just get the rails and track installed, them decided if you want to do the tunnel.
