Do you need longer rails when changing to 156" extreme from stock 153"?

So, if the powerclaw too was offered in the 156" length, would you still buy the camo extreme 156"?
Or would it even make practical sense to swap from a 153" to a 156"?
Is there a noticable performance difference when going from 153" to 156"?
Maybe it depends on the tracks being used? I would think that going from a 153" Challenger or Attack20 to a 153" Powerclaw would be a noticable improvement. Going from a challenger or attack20 to a 156" Camo Extreme would probably make a world of difference.

just get bigger wheels, got a buddy with a 156 camo extreme on his m1000 and he just used bigger wheels and it works awsome( not sure what size wheels tho)
When I had the 156 on I stuck a 9" wheel kit on and it brought the axle back to where it is with stock wheels (8") and a 153. I ended up running out of adjustment after a year once the track stretched a bit withe the 156 and 8's.

The stock wheels are 8". So youd have to jump up to 9" and a off set axle. Thats what I did on my Nightfire. Cost is an issue at $170 for a MM Freedom axle and $75 MM 9" plastics wheels. I now have a 153" PC on it. So I flip the Freedom axle to continue to use my 9" wheels.
Day and night differance going from the '08 stock Challenger to the CE! I REALLY like the CE 156"!!! it kicks ars in most conditions. But the PC 153" is so close to it in most of those conditions that it's a toss-up between the two. Except the PC feels lighter when hucking the sled around! and in the super light fluff it shows up the CE.
Whole nother story when you start talkin 162" PC vs 162" CE!
That 162" CE is a SUPER HEAVY BEAST!
