15" on Apex

Any one run a 15" track on the Apex? Seems to me it would fit right in with no mods...

16 inch fits also, you just need to grind down some of the tunnel rivets.

Doesn't it come stock with a 16"? I know that the Nytro and Vector are 15".

I think that the 06 came with a 15 and the newer ones come with a 16.

I don't ever recall seeing an Apex with a stock 15".

Mine too, it's just seen better days and there are some good buys on 15" tracks out there.

Isn't that sorta like downgrading? Unless your sled is super lightweight and you weigh 120#'s those sleds need every bit of track you can get 'em....

agreed. flotation is key on these heavy girls.lol I'm still going with the 16" on the nytro.

I ran the 15 wide challenger extreme on my 06 apex and with the stiffer taller lug etc would run and float with the stock mav track in a 16 wide. Maybe better in diff conditions.

Mine had a drop and roll but the theory is that the 15 wide gave better room to void the snow with the tall track so there was no air pump effect.
The Sled worked awesome and narrower track didnt hurt cornering etc.
New sled has 16 wide mav and will probably trade it out as well.

I guess I was not paying attention to the question, I had a 07 Apex and I know it had a 16x162 and then I put a 174x16.
