146 vs 154, new to Bellingham

I will be moving out to the Bellingham area from Michigan after graduating from college this spring. I plan on getting a mountain sled and am looking for some advice. I have never ridden in the mountains and deep powder before, most is about 1.5ft in upper Michigan, and am wondering how much difference in performance exists between the 146 and 154 summit with the typical, conditions out there. Also any ideas of how these new 600R etec will be? Any help is appreciated.

146 will be enough most days. If your a big dude get 154.

Either way welcome to the best snowmobiling of your life!

I grew up in N.D. and theres no comparison.

?

Get the longer track, you will be riding Baker a lot and it gets the best snow around. I ride a D8 155 and it's perfect for me at 200lbs riding weight.

Keep in mind that our snow isn't exactly POW...its not called "cascade concrete" for nothing...expecially this time of year, lots of wet, heavy snow. more power and more track are alway advised!!

welcome!!

I also would suggest an 800 as well as the longer track versions. The snow is deep and the terrain somewhat steep. You will have fun on a 600 but more fun on an 800. For dealer support you can check out Mt. Baker Moto-Sports for Arctic Cat located in Bellingham, Steel Dreams For Ski Doo in Burlington and Skagit Valley Polaris which is in Burlington/Mount Vernon
