Someone asked via PM how I liked my 146" track:
I put on a 146 x 2.5" track on my Bike mid season. *It climbs strait up steep slopes surprisingly well. *I expected some improvement over the stock 121 x 1.75", but the first ride was a shock. *I cackled with glee the entire time. *I paired the Kit with both my KX450F and KX500 for several days. *Climbing hills on firm snow, the KX500 was still a wheelie machine - I had to watch that the track spin didn't spool the motor up into the power band when I needed the ski on the ground.
I rode one day on my KX450f with a More-talented rider on a short tracked 450sx on 18" of medium-light powder. *The long track simply walked away on moderate and steep slopes.

I found myself riding slower and on steeper slopes on the deep days. *I could turn up better, opening more terrain. *I still ride primarily with sledders, so the ability to point and shoot up steeper hills was a big plus.
Downsides: *It will trench a little deeper if you let it. *I found the short track nicely balanced front-to-rear and the long track will wash the ski out first in some conditions. Initiating an uphill turn the ski wouldn't always grab at very low speed - I'd have to use a bunch of throttle.
I didn't run a flap. When the suspension bottomed I'd get some snow flying forward.
I am very happy with the track and would not turn down a longer or taller track if one came up cheap. *I would not switch back to a short track for just about any conditions that I find in Washington.
