just blew my 144x16x2 will a deeper track fit with the stock tunnel and 8tooth drivers? its a 2002 Viper with modded drop brackets 8 tooth drivers (soon to be extro) or will it pack to much snow in the tunnel? Would it help if I ported the track??? hoping to buy a take-off but might have to buy new and the 2.3 is only $10 more than the 2" from tracks usa

you have the 2.3 lug or the 2" lug?
I had the 2" and it blew this week-end, and from tracks usa I can get the 2.3 for $10 more. What about porting the track? I thought this would help get snow out with the CLOSE track to tunnel gaps?????? Do you port in front or behind a lug?????? I would have to think behind so the lugs dont push snow up thru??

So you have the 2" lug like my blown track, right?
do you think the 2.3 would clear, or would it pack snow in by the drivers???

I have a Viper with 7T 3P drivers and 2 1/4 Camo. Had to trim and 1/8 to get it to fit. It still rubs when braking hard down hill.

I've heard 8T 2.52 with 2 1/4 will fit tho. Don't know about your 2.3.

i have the polaris series IV 2 1/8" track and it barely clears

I got the CPR pipes
what are you guys running for clutching?
primary spring:
weight:
secondary spring:
helix:
gearing:

3000-6500 ft
SLP pipes (coated). Peak head with 20cc domes & Bender gasket. No other motor work.

Primary: Green-Silver-Green. Brought my engagement rpm to around 3600. Makes it nice for slow starts and girrrrrin' around in the powder. Viper motor has decent low end torque so it can take the lower engagement R's. Swinging 8DN10's loaded to 48.6g. 4.5g inner & 3.1g outer. Ground the outer to get to final weight.

Secondary: Silver spring at 6&2 (80*) with 48/42 helix.

Gearing: 20/42 gears with 7T 3P drivers. Figures out to about 2.27:1 (if I calc'd correct).

This is a good setup for me and the riding I like to do (mostly trees and short pulls). Gets the rpm where I need it for my pipes on a little longer pull and track speed is about 48mph or so. For what it is, this sled flat out works. No really.
