144 to 156

i have a 2004 switchback 700 144 and i wanted to stretch it to a 156 with a 2in paddle, what all would i have to do, if anyones got some info on tunnel ext, rail ext, gearing, clutching, and drivers it would be really helpfull thanks.

You'll need a longer tunnel extension.

I can show you what a 144 looks like with a 156 on it...
This even has 10" idlers and 10t drivers...so a LOT of the track is soaked up by those...it would stick out even further without them. Move the axle back about 4" with stock drivers and idlers and you'll get a sense of what it would look like.

You'll stick out too far and my may not get as much snow on the coolers.

Why didn't you not put a tunnel ext on when you extended it ??
are you still getting enough snow on the cooler with that setup ??
I'm going to extend my 03 snowcheck 700 and was curious.

Tunnel extension is a must, 6", rail extensions or full rails, gear down.

Um...I didn't "didn't not" put a tunnel extension on because I didn't didn't not want to cause I did ordered a whole new tunnel and went with that instead.
