Planning on setting up another snowbike. I'm intersted I'm hearing what the update on these 14 KX 450 air forks. Do they have to be changed out with a set of .54 spring forks? If chamging is the only option then is there any input or leads, to a place that will simply trade for a set.

Appreciate some input on this !

Thx

The Kayaba PSF forks that come on that model year do have springs in them but they are not like the springs in traditional springer forks. My understanding is they are simply there to help with some bottoming resistance when pressure drops from low PSI or a blown seal (of which the PSF apparently has a problem with). Upgrading the fork seals to SKF seals and running the fork socks will help. Pump up the forks to 55psi and ride it, check mid day and keep the PSI up. You don't have to change the forks, you just have to keep the pressure up.
