136" to 153" need some input

144" instead?

Might want to think about going only 144", much cheaper/easier. The 153" tracks have a 3" pitch to them so you'll have to get rails, tunnel extension, new drivers, and extend the plumbing out for the cooler. Pick up a cheap 144"
track and a pair of 136" to 144" rail extensions and you're done.

I dont think you'll notice much difference going to a 144", but you could do a 151 easily. You wont have to change drivers becasue you'll be at a 2.52 pitch, and rail extensions should be available, if not, the 153" cat rails should work, I think they'll be enough room on the adjusters....anyone else have any thoughts on this? Just thinking that this will save him alot of money over a 153"....unless he wants a powerclaw :D

I had mine conversed 2 years ago from 136 to 144. Bought 8 in rail extension to add onto 136 rail extension to make it 144, tunnel protecter for 144 and Challenger track w/ 2 in which cost me around 400-450 dollars. Not sure about the current price but wont hurt to look around and get some ideas before conversing it.
