There is a accessory power cable in the hood. Its the only place your allowed to draw power since it has an 2A fuse! However both AC and DC can be found in the harness on the left shock tower, but this will void any potential warranty...
The tach signal is drawn directly from the DC power grid, measuring the pulses the magneto produces at the stator! (Not sure but i think it the DC ground it measures from...)
