13 Pro bogging after starting

Hey, I had a question about the 13 Pro. I only had this happen once but it was a little disconcerting. I was riding last weekend and had about 50 miles in on the day, about 500 total on the sled. After stopping for a prolonged period of time because a buddy I was riding with blew up the motor on his 12 Pro we went to head back to the truck. I started the sled up and everything seemed fine. I then pushed into the throttle to start and the engine completely bogged down and almost died and the check engine light came on for a split second. I did this 4 or 5 times before the engine seemed to catch and then ran perfectly fine on the 20 mile ride back out.

I was wondering if anybody else has had this experience or if this is something I should be worried about. I am wondering if I may have ended up with snow frozen somewhere that was causing this problem since I was having some issues with stuff freezing up that day (throttle sticking open because of ice around the throttle). I have been running 92 octane non-ethanol gas in the sled but I have kept the computer in the ethanol setting.

Throttle issues

Hi,

Sounds like the throttle cable could have been sticking due to icing. The bog was the ecu going into a mode called "Stuck or broken throttle cable" and generates a P code and flashes the check engine light. After a few minutes and the cable freed back up the code went historic, and therefore the check light extinguishes. Only way to know for sure is to have digital wrench hooked up by a dealer and look at the stored code.

This symptom is a telltale of the throttle cable freeplay not being adjusted correctly, or a stuck or broken cable.

Hope this helps,

Cheers

Had the exact some problem. Started my sled in the morning inside the trailer. Let it idle for about 3 mintues like I do usually before I blurped the throttle to back it out of trailer. It did like you said rapped up to approx 3000 and the check engine light flashed and it acted like it was going to die. This went on for quite awhile until I shut it off and inspected the throttle cable. No ice in it. I waited for about 3 mintues and started it and it just decided to take off. Dont know what the problem was either for sure but sounds like it might become common.
