13 belt drive on a 12

Just finished putting a 13 belt drive on my 12 Pro. It took a little cutting and grinding to get the backing plate to fit, but besides that it mounted right where the 12 backing plate mounts. I've also heard horror stories about getting your belt back on without the Polaris alignment tool. I just rolled mine back on like you would a chain on a bike. I put the belt on the top pulley, held it on the front of the bottom pulley, and had a friend rotate the track. Once you get the belt all the way around the bottom pulley, just keep pushing in on the top pulley and rotating the track. Eventually it will roll into place. It worked pretty slick.

What was the total cost of all of the '13 parts and pieces to get this done?

If you could post the final parts list, that would be very helpful to others!!

I got it from a friend that put a CMX belt drive on his 13. Sorry I don't know all of the part numbers.

i was told the 13' jackshaft is different to make the belt drive work , therefore the 12 jackshaft wouldnt work to have a belt drive.

what all did you have to buy? i ended up passing on the take off belt drive pieces b/c of that. the 13 jackshaft isnt avail until sometime in december when i checked around.

i wanna know right away maybe i can find another take off belt drive up here and do it after all

Sorry no pictures. I got the drive shaft from my friend. The CMX drive uses a different shaft. Just got lucky or should I say I have a good friend.

ok makes sense, thats a pretty sweet deal to get a belt drive.

i wanted one in the worst way but with no being able to get a jackshaft i had to bail, odds of finding someone doing a $2500 cmx kit arent real high as avid has the belt plate coming with drop&roll for 3" so have to wait for polaris to get there s$%t together and offer a kit.

I spoke with a Polaris sled engineer at Hay Days, he said Polaris will not be offering a belt kit. They feel the price will be too high for most, it would make more sense to trade.
