12V DC on 09 M8

Do I need the Arctic Cat DC upgrade kit on my PGT M8? I will be running the stock fuel pump, BD electronic boost controller, and Koso wideband, and BD box.

I know with high volume fuel pumps you need the kit, but do I need it with my setup? Nothing mentioned in the BD instructions.

My understanding is that there is "some" DC voltage there, but I am not sure how much.

i dont think you need one, i had a bd box , digitron, and 2 small lights in other gauges on my pg kit last year and didnt need one, unless that electronic boost controller uses lots of power

You will be fine you do not need the CCU.

Who does need one then? My buddy had one on his cutler race gas kit with high volume fuel pump. Maybe he did not need one either?

Some kits do. You are fine. I sent you a bunch of info on the wideband units and tells you exactly what wires to tap into and goes into detail on install with pics.

what is this dc upgrade kit? partnumber? did some experiments whit xenonkits on my -09 last year. the stock dc output was only good to light up one xenonlight. gave about 5.5 amps.

5639-258 puts the ccu back on the sled and has a accessory port at the unit as well

i would upgrade the fuel pump, as its a simple lost cost fix for a fuel pump that is hardly sized for its stock fuel consumption needs
