12v Accessory Plug

Where are you guys mounting your 12v accessory plug? The logical place is already taken by the headlite adjuster.

The flats are part of the air intake. The little jumper makes it look like the angled piece near the key which seems like it would be in the way?

Wish I could get a photo of an Switchback Adventure to see where Polaris mounts it.

There is lots of room on that console piece that holds your hand warmer switches. On the side is probably the best. There's lots of room under there for wires.

I put mine in the little triangular shaped hole by the right corner on the windshield when sitting on the sled. I think it's triangular, don't have the sled here to look at.

Location

I found a post on HCS that has Polaris installation instructions showing it opposite the key to the left of the MFD.

Should work for the length of the harness as long as it's not involved with the airbox.

Sound right?

Did a 12 Volt add on for cell on mine a week ago! Yes opposite side of gage from key! If go Polaris is wires on my 13 SW already wired up open ready for plug in from Polaris if get that one! (I did aftermarket boat one for $5.50) If have adapters to or want to do else go the factory one at $49.00? Will plug right in, just remove your hood, flip it should see 2 prong electric cord there already! ??? Was on mine! Drill hole on LH Side sitting on next to gage hook up wires and done! GOOD LUCK! :wine:

I disconnected my ignition (but left it mounted) then I disconnected the tether from its hole, and put the 12v plug there instead. Once I mounted the Burandt bag, I routed the usb in through the warming/access hatch on the back of the bag. Now I have options as to connecting phone or gps or whatever. Plus the connection is pretty well protected by the bag.

Also mounted the tether in the hole where the ignition switch was supposed to go. Fit great, other than I had to put a washer over the top to get it to tighten up. Classy...
