125° too warm?

125° too warm?

So I'm riding North Shore Sunday and Monday. Temp was never lower than 125. Lots of loose snow on trail, and fresh snow falling. Put my scratchers down too, was off trail for 15-20% of the time.
14 polaris RMK 600 144
I've been reading posts of ecm pulling power out over 130.
Are there lower temp t-stats available? Parts guy at dealer, I think was new and young said only 1 part number in polaris parts menu.
Only 1 year riding this, seems last year it was closer to 115, can thermostat get weak, need higher temp to open?
Read something about T-stat bypass, will that cool me down? Or is that for quicker warm up in the morn.
Thinking just removing T-Stat would be a no no, especially since I enjoy sub zero riding (so many people stay home)

At home in MN I see temps from 120 to 140 all the time on my 2013 RMK Assault. If we are going to jump on the trail and the temps get to the 140 range I will drop the scratches and with those down I'm at 125.

Never noticed any power difference with temps in the 140 range. Seen it as high as 160 when crossing some logging areas last year with no noticeable changes in performance.

Another option is to pick up the MTNTK extended cooler. I have the 5' one at home but have not installed it yet.

Mine runs at a steady 127-129, unless I'm on the trail without scratchers down. Is there a reason why it would need to run cooler then that?

Pretty normal. Mine runs 120-130°F in good snow. Riding packed trail it'll climb higher. If I see 160°F I'm looking for snow pretty hard to get it back down.

We rode 60 miles of groomed trails the other day and my Pro stayed pretty much consistently at 128 all day long....I always ride scratchers down too.

125 would be a dream. In tight trees where we spend most of our days 150-160 is normal and shut them down around 190-195 to cool. Around 200-205 they start to boil over.

Thanks guys I appreciate all the response. Seemed to me last year I was closer to 115, after dipping into the fresh for cooling. Had no scratchers and would dip off trail between 130 & 140.
Didn't think 125 was very warm but wanted additional input, maybe I miss reading or not comprehending some other posts.
Never saw any temps over 140, so I must be doing something right.
