If Doo had to come out with the 1200 in a Summit Chassis with narrow ski stance and long track for 2010, I would have most likely purchased a turbo but not interested in having to modify the Renegade. If they come out with a spring release in 2010 then I might just have to do it. Just going to go with the 860 BB in the XP two smoker for 2009-2010 season.

SkiDoo 1200 Turbo

A little update for you guys!
On the Dyno today trying RPM limiter and Thanks to the gang from Italy we pulled 8 more HP just by adding 300 RPM with Rapid Bike 3 EFI.
3 Rapid Bike people from Italy are here helping us with all kinds of injection from Tractors, trucks and cars to sleds.
Let you guys know how the next few days go and what's coming for other sleds too.
Stock 1200 without turbo but a header or muffler etc should pull some extra HP.

1200 Turbo Skidoo

Dave Dunn will be soon testing 1200 on pavement for out east guys.
We also got 1000cc twin 2 stroke EFI working with timing control for guys that might have a turbo 2 stroke one laying around or twin pipes etc.
BRP Spyder Rapid EFI has been done so we will have options for getting more power and better fuel mileage or build a turbo kit!!
The more we work on this 1200 it turns out to be a great motor for boosting.
It sounds sweet on the dyno at 8300 RPM with all that torque.
We also took a look at Skidoo 600 Etec and after a few hours it is on the back burner until we hear back from Rapid Bike.
Kawasaki Teryx worked out good.
Harley 2009 Turbo with Rapid Bike runs awesome.
Arctic Cat 1000cc should be great to map with Tuning Bike.
Dodge Cummings with Rapid was a surprise! We ask the people from Italy to bring a test unit and what a nice smooth clean and powerful setup that can be installed in a few minutes.
We did a week of hard work and learn more in two days then we ever dream of.
