I have an 08 1200 big bore, ported, 153 challenger track, running d&d twins, 3 tower clutch, stock gearing, and was wondering what everyone elses clutching setups are riding 7500'+ I weight around 190 with gear.
Thanks in advance
Trent

I'm still breaking in a 1200 motor, so I haven't got to the clutching yet, but.... how are the twins working out? Have you had any other pipes on it? What 1200 kit are you running?
Thanks,
Kor

So far I like the twins, they are for a bigbore, but I think a mesh hood would be a little better because they do generate some heat haha. Those are the only pipes i've tried so far, what are you running? I am running one of Mild 2 Wild's kits, Jake Stewart built it for me and did a great job. Who's kit are you running, how do you like it so far? What fuel box are you running, let me know what clutching your running when you get it broke in.

Hey Trent,
My 1200 started life as a D&D... Then got changed so it would run! :tape: I'm running the big single from D&D for now. I think I'm going to try the temp sensor delete/bypass, which will allow me try a whole bunch of different pipes that are "around" the group. I've got a boondocker box, which is pig-rich right now. I have a diamond lite drive and I did Jeff's (Dakota Perf) wire jump to get electronic reverse (and the 09 update to my ecu). I made a mesh hood and a 2.4 lb seat. So far I'm liking the set-up. It feels like it wil rip my arms out when it comes on!
Where do you ride? I'm in CO and ride from 11,200' up to 13,500'.
Give me a call anytime!

Kory, i might go that way too. i was going to shave the head and port but figured i might as well bore the pig out too. problem is, i have all the d and d hot rod items for the stocker and cant use any of that if i go that route.

also thinking about doing the ceramic thing on my single pipe because when its over the hood, i melt everything inside....

I was just reading up on that sensor bypass, right away we were having some bogging issues that seemed to get worse towards the end of the day and had some codes pop up and we figured out it was that sensor, I was thinking i might have to go that route to and bypass it. How do you like the single pipe? Did you go with stock gearing on your ddlite? I mostly ride 8000+ but have riden here at home were about at 1000' and it is crazy down here, it doesnt compare to stock at all.
Thanks
Trent

I just pm'ed Hatchers about the correct wattage for the resistor. I bought a pack of each... 1/8, 1/4, and 1/2 watts. I'll pass it along!

Hey Trent,
I can't recall what gearing is in it. I figured I'd get the motor solid, then hit gearing and clutching and pipes and fuel mapping and.....
