when I went from 1.75" lug 136" track length, to 2.5 " lug 144 track, I ended up going up two teeth on my driven to get back to a more comfortable gear sp.acing feel, that's with a wr450 gear box. 5th gear going downhill to the truck on a nice snow packed trail, mega top end speeds with my old gearing.
Now two bigger, I'm back to maybe just a hair lower top end than I had before, and a real nice wacked out 3rd gear to climb snowy slopes.
Some folks won't believe deeper lug tracks gear you up, but it does. So a bigger lug track will change your need for lower bike gearing more than the longer track will.
