Hate dragging up old topics but i can't really see a real awnser to my question. My reverse recently started acting up with the ECU 25 flashing, goes away after i spinn the track a few times. And also when i turn the key on to start it, it automatically goes ino reverse. ??? it still seems to be working (when shifting back and forth) with the a*s end lifted up but i have to hit the button a couple times when switching from forward and reverse. Anyone have any idea? Thanks

Do you have the reverse actuator update? Call your dealer and have them run your VIN# to make sure it has been done.

I had it checked for recalls last year and they said they were all up to date. Does anyone have a part # to verify if it is the updated Acuator? Or some way to tell?

The symptoms that you describe are indicative of the acutator problem.

It is easy for the dealer to run the vin and then tell you the updates that were preformed. Not just "They are alll done".

Eric-
Is this update only for the 2012's?

I has a few in my shop the other day asking about the same problesm- I referred them to ask their dealer all were 2012"s but din't know if this was fully addressed on the 13's

Thanks

When my reverse actuator took a dump on me I found that whenever I turned the key on it sounded like the sled farted loudly.

What was actually happening is that when the sled is turned on it ensures the sled is shifted into forward. If the actuator needs to be replaced, one of the symptoms is the grinding/farting noise.

With the actuator removed (sled running) it switches back and forth. As soon as the ignition is switched off it goes into reverse.. I have a friend same year I'm going to borrow his actuator to try it see if it fixes it.

Heh heh:face-icon-small-con I bet this happened just AFTER the update. After your last post I remembered that in the update instructions you are supposed the unclip and flip the wires. Otherwise you will see what you are seeing. You may now flip and rip at will.
