12 Assault goes for a swim; help please

We had a 12 Assault go for a swim just before Chtistmas, then come into the shop shortly after

My understanding is that it was submerged in 20 feet of water for approx 2 hours. Hooked with a fishing line, then drug out with a boat and a steel bar.

Was immediately taken to a heated garage, then later than night transported to our shop.

Now. We pulled every connector apart, dried and greased everything. Drained the fuel and oil, flushed, and replaced. Took the exhaust off and plugs out and drained the water and gave it all a good oil bath.

We got it running after 4 days of work. Took it out side. And the gauge and reverse stopped working. And now its running like crap and we can't see the code (no access to digital wrench).

Will taking a donor gauge and hooking it to the sled do the job, or do we run the risk of frying another gauge? I'm assuming the original is toast because of the open back of the gauge, but I don't want take one of our good gauges and fry it because there is something else going on. I don't know enough about electronics to say what will happen

any help is appreciated
