12 800 low end sputtering-bog

I have a 2012 800 Assault that has developed a low to lower mid range sputter. Looking to see if any one has encountered this issue and what might correct it.

Here is some history of the sled Ive owned it since new. The 12 season I put a Bikeman powderlite can on, it ran great all season.

13 season I picked up a PAR 13.6:1 head and installed that. Shortly after I noticed a light stutter/sputter as you were to start moving the machine. Called and talked with PAR and was sugessted fuel filter or injectors. At that point changed fuel filter and spark plugs with no change. I had a hard time thinking it was injectors when the sled ran fine just before the head. I just put up with it for the remainder of the season. The last two rides of the season were late April and when coming out of the mountains at roughly 7000 ft coasting down the trail if I were to let off the throttle it would hit det and shut me down.

14 season thought I might need a fuel controller to fix my issue but decided to try taking the head off and see. Sled ran worse than it ever had. 3 times after short cool off periods it back fired on me as i started to give it throttle. Temps at those times were 100 to 110 after restart. Sled consistently runs 125-130 while working it off trail.

Looking for sugestions pipe temp probe, injectors, new 2014, dealer, other?

Thanks Dan

Forgot to add. 12 season I also recalibrated the tps with a quality Fluke meter and got it spot on. At the same time I had also checked the range of motion on it as well and found no dead spots either. So I don't think it is the tps.

I would suggest revisiting the TPS . My experince was similar. I recalibrated the TPS on two occasions and couldn't fix the low/mid range throttle response on my 12 pro.

I replaced the TPS and all is good. The difference I saw with the old TPS was that it was " slow" to respond on the meter when I flipped the throttle from idle to full. The new TPS was considerably "more responsive" .

These seem to be problematic and I would check it once more.

Also, I didn't see any dead spots in mine either with a digital or analog meter.

Hope this helps
