ridding from 3000 feet up to 7000 feet in the mountians . whats the best set up . the BD2.0 speedworks or EVO

My vote is for EVO 215 map. They have alot of tuning knowledge with high end street cars and have worked this map over all of last year. I heard of it that they were working on it this time last year already. Not to knock the other companies but with the speedwerx I have heard of many ecu issues with the map not downloading correctly. Also I do not understand why speedwerx will not just advertise it like it is. 215-220 is all your going to get stop advertising the multimap of 210-240. As far as the 2.0 i believe it is a good baseline but can't give you the same as the remap can. I do not beleive that the 2.0 can control ignition timing or other features like that.

From what I've read and seen on the internet, my vote is for EVO, they've got their ducks in a row from programming to hardware. There reputation in the automotive industry precedes them also. They seem to be a no BS operation and have been giving straight up info on limitations of programming vs hardware at elevation etc. Check out their youtube channel and watch some of their vids. I have ordered the EVO BRV for now and will probably end up ordering their intercooler fan kit as well. When I decide to upgrade further, EVO will be getting my business.

I have TD reflash, works fine I know it only makes 215-220 at 10,000' but at 2000-4000 hulls ***. No problems. If I had to do it again I would Evo. Just for the awesome customer service Jim @ Evo, and gene @ WKM give. When I got my sled Reflash last year ther was only speedwerx, td, and boondocker. Did a lot of research and TD got my business at that time, also seen some problems with speedwerx tunes

I ran the bd2.0 and put a 1.9 on a buddies. Sold lots of 2.0's. They have their purpose for sure. I always tell guys that ride 70% flat and only a couple trips to the hills a year the bd gives you more hp at home when comparing the 215 flash. I know guys that had the td tune and it looked marginally better than the bd at elevation because of the benefits in tuning a reflash gives you. Of course without the same clutching do you really know anyway? The vids on evo's site are mine and my sled and the clutching is identical in all 3 sleds. I don't have a strong opinion on td or speedwerx as I don't have any real seat time on them. What I do know is Evo tunes at elevation and they have been riding mountain sleds for as long or longer than most of us. That gives them the upper hand IMO. Some might call me bias but the reality is that's the truth. No other company has the tune time on the 1100 at elevation they do. A whole year on the snow with kits, that says a lot.

Has anyone ran the EVO turbo upgrade with the 2.0? Or is planning to? I would assume this would be possable with fuel and PSI adjustments. You just wouldn't have the EVO timing adjustments if there are any?. Run a A/F gauge and make adjustments as needed. Thoughts?

I have Strangstretch's General Lee in my garage deciding what to do with it. If you remember he put a 2871 on it last year with Neil at Boost It in the hopes the 2.0 could be the controller. They could not get it to work past 15lbs. You can pm him for more details but in a nutshell it was unsuccessful and an expensive experiment. Plus you are correct that there isn't any timing capability, adjustment of factory parameters like lower cold temp safety so you can move it sooner, and full control of the fuel curve instead of some basic adjustments like a 2.0 has.

I used a EZ jacker last year and it worked ok. But did have a few issues at elevation. One thing I will tell you is that with the evo stuff I went with this year is that the customer service is second to none. I was honestly so impressed with that part that I have tons of confedence that it is a great product. I don't think anybody would stick their neck out like that if they were peddeling fu fu juice. I can't wait to see how it will perform on the snow this year. I will be giving a full report. My vote is for EVO.

PM me your sled info and your elevation and we can put together a clutching and EVO ECU reprogram package for you and help you out.

1100t 162 proclimb. ride from 3000feet if it snows at home or 4000 to 7000 in the mountians. think it would be more fun to be around 210 hp. dont want to blow it up with my 3 year warranty voided. half trail half boondocking
