Installed the Diamond S and the C3 carbon fiber hoods this week on 1100t's. Both are great products. The C3 hood came in at a whopping 15oz out of the box. Ended up at 3.5lbs ready to install with gauges, HID headlight and windshield. The diamond S came in at 5lbs ready to install with gauges and windshield. The stock hood is just over 19lbs complete. C3hood cost is $1200 and the diamond S is $550. Both take some cutting and grinding to install. If you want the most weight loss and money isn't an issue than the C3 is the best out there, plus the CF looks totally killer. If you are on more of a budget and want massive venting, the diamond S is a great deal.

those hoods looks sweet i wish they would have made the lower part that goes behind the bumper separate from the rest, that way the lower part that rarely need to be removed could be held with screws and the upper part of the hood could be held with the quarter turn fasteners like the pro rmk has or like the tank shroud has, thats what id like to see lol

The bottom section on the Dimond S is seperate from the top section and there is only for srews to remove it. I changed the screws on the top section of the Dimond S to hand turn fastners and it worked out great 10 seconds and hood is off very happy with this product.

^thats awesome now if i could have the mesh hood and my factory headlight i would have bought one already

I have no problem removing the stock headlight. The LED light
i have is brighter than stock and will work just as good so for those of you concerned about removing the stock headlight don't be there are alot of lighting options out there.

How durable are the carbon fiber hoods if you roll the sled a few times on hard pack snow?

Tougher than the stock one. Doesn't mean you can't break anything but I have yet to hear of a broken cr hood from a roll.
