1100T does it leak oil when rolled over?

Anyone with a 1100T had it on its side or rolled it over yet? Was curious if it leaked like Nytros do.

Hhhmm good question? I was wondering the same thing since I do have a Nytro that pukes oil when on it's side. I hope the 1100 doesn't do that?

They do not leak engine oil when rolled, dont recommend leaving it upside down but mine has not leaked engine oil. Your chaincase has a breather line and i found that mine had leaked a bit out of it when i rolled it, put a small K+N filter on it to stop it from leaking in the engine compartment the same as i did for the crankcase breather line. All's good now!!! :face-icon-small-ton

a filter on your crankcase breather oooooooo............ You lookin to freeze
that off and create some problems?

No :face-icon-small-blu who would do that....
Just looked and no oil to be seen but dont let it run rolled over on the clutch side long it makes a good mess of the side pannel...
and the windshields do not like being rolled on already busted a corner off and one hand guard, also the bolts holding the hand guards on are to long with out them so be careful if you run with out them

yep they do!!!! neighboor had his out two weeks ago at BR and hit a rock and flopped it over and couldnt get to the kill switch right away. when they rolled it back over it had puked majority of the oil out!!!! theis sleds need tethers

I rolled my over twice last weekend in the horns....One time was on it's top for quite awhile before I could get it flipped over....(Had to hang on to it for dear life so she did not goast ride down the hill into the trees.) Did not leak a drop of oil. But I will be taking off the hand gaurds...Damn near destroyed a 14,000 doller sled over a 2 doller peice of plastic when they got in the way of the break.

back up.,...spoke to AC dealer yesterday and they said that if you roll over a 1100 you could have to wait for a few minutes once back on the skis to let the oil drain back down. Has anyone noticed this?

All four strokes motors share some attributes:

1. You need to let the oil drain back to the bottom of the motor after a rollover.

2. You need a crankcase breather system to vent the crankcase.

3. You will leak oil in certain situations of roll-over. Cat is the best, but will still leak.

there system puts the oil thats leaking out into the end of the filter and u just burn it off threw the motor,if its over for a long time u well see it leaking out of the clam shell.most of the time it looks like more oil then it is. if u don't have the updated elbow that pushes into the end of the filter and it pops out it makes a huge mess. the biggest issue is if u get it on your clutches. i have rolled it more then 10times with no issues.

Rolled mine lots. Never a drop leaked out. Not like my Nytro without the tether valve.

No more oil leaking solution

They all leak oil, it's just how much. Those of us that came from nitro and Apex land have tethers and some had a electronic valve controlled by the tether. We have adapted a half dozen yami kits to work on the m1100. A must IMO for guys riding in the hills where rolling is always easier than digging.

This is the link for the original inventor, talked to him last week, he is just waiting for some plugs to make it plug and play for the new Cats. Can't put a price on piece of mind or not detailing your Ltd for a whole day lol.

Looks like a good product. Seems to have good pics and step by step info. Wonder how easy it is to install?
