Just a quick reminder for all you 1100 Turbo guys. If you are wanting to do some power enhancements like a Big Chute or Super Chute kit, now is the time. We will be offering special deals through the summer. Get them done and back in the garage so when the snow flies in the fall they will be ready to go!

I beg guys for this every year and most still wait until Thanksgiving and then everybody is backed up to the moon.

If you are getting a 2014, not much you can do, but if you are doing 2012 or 2013 models........now now now!!!!

PM me if you have questions or need a quote.

Obviously you are having some issues...

Anyone modding one of these is a complete moron myself included, they are piles of belt blowing chaincase eating scrap. Wish I had never never seen or owned an arctic cat:focus:
Anytime you add hp, you need to beef up the drivetrain...especially on a heavy sled. Although I have replaced my chaincase chain this year, I've yet to blow a belt. It appears you are having issues, but there are solutions to your problems. Have you personally checked your clutch alignment, parallelism, and offset? Is the sled vented? HD chain, engine mounts, jackshaft supports installed?

I'm not saying the sled is perfect - far from it. But, it can be modded on a budget, for far less $$$ then building a turbo nytro or apex (or a 2 stroke for that matter)

Why should anyone need to modify a stock machine to not est factory parts with no power adders? That's just crazy talk. I've had 2 cats a 12 and a 13 giving them the benefit of the doubt over the 2012. Yet again another parts eater. Cat is zero help and I refuse to spend money on fixes. Hence IMO anyone modding these and dumping cash on them to fix cats efups is a moron.

turbojamie...........it's happened before.

We hear your pain. I don't agree though. I love my sled. I haven't broke a thing in 1,500 miles.
The thing is this post is not the place to complain. This is someone else's post.

Let these guys offer their services to us without kicking them down.

Racinstation is giving great advice here. I haven't been able to put hardly any miles on my 1100T. I haven't had any real issues but a belt but I want to be able to get hard use out of my 300HP sled. This sled requires driveline upgrades if you are going to be able to hammer on it all winter. Spring/summer is the time when parts are easier to get and you aren't missing pow days to install.

For 300 HP the first choice is a C3 belt drive. Second choice would be a high strength drive chain. I would use stiffer motor mounts either way.

I bought the C3 belt drive for the 1100. NO WAY WAS THAT READY FOR SALE. No provision for the air/oil separater, the tensioner was too weak and the oil lines the sent weren't even close. Expect to spend LOTS of time or money to get one to work.

OR, don't expect to spend any additional money or extra time because the kits I ship are ready to roll. Some of the early four stroke kits were not finished products. We have been using the stock oil lines, the only drawback is that the oil container won't swing totally out of the way.

If you got a prototype early kit from Kevin, I am sure he told you it was pre production.

building turbo yamaha viper, what driveline enhancement are needd to run 300hp?

No one knows yet. As of right now the viper has yammi clutches and the cat has cat clutches. Yammi has been durability testing the viper for a couple weeks now. My guess is we will see a more durable driveline in the 14's than what is currently on the 13's once yammi is done with their testing. They will be testing the turbos on them all next week in Idaho. I'm pretty sure yammi won't sell the sled with the current driveline.

It will be interesting to see if AC and Yamaha go with HYVO componets. I know Yamaha has used HYVO chains since around 01-02 in the SRX and old SXViper.

I ordered this kit from Kevin 3 weeks ago, max. HE SAID NOTHING ABOUT PRE-PRODUCTION ANYTHING. Woody from Mt baker Motorsports installed the kit. Had NUMEROUS calls to him because of all the extra work. AGAIN NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT PRE-PRODUCTION ANYTHING. Just kind of acted surprised we had any trouble with the kit all. I think my credit card is pre-production. Wonder what he will say when I dispute the charges? I will make a phone call before I do that and ask him about it let's see how he handles it.

Deep breaths everyone....

Woody called me on a Sunday about an install (guess that was yours!) and I put him in touch with my mech as we had just done an 1100 the week before that. I wasn't there when things had to get a touch custom. There was a couple of things missed in a couple kits we found, but we made those work. We have been working with Kevin for 2 years on the Cat belt drive so maybe we are just more familiar to start with. Aside from the personal level Kevin is an exceptional builder and I'm sure he will make it right.
