1100 turbo: clutch set ups MDS and Tied team/ 10,000 ft

I purchased a 2013 1100 turbo: 162 (limited black)
I have ordered a tied team secondary clutch and was wondering about running MDS weights with the Tied team .

What set ups?

Or are stock weights better for the turbo?

I don't have a team secondary, but I can tell you MDS weights work real well on the 1100t. My primary clutch temps went down a lot after putting the MDS in.

Madmax did you burn belts on your 1100t with the stock clutch setup with stock power? With the Evops power upgrade?

I put in the mds weights and found alot more hiding in the low end although the way they were set up you could nail the rev limiter on long hard pack straits pretty easily even did it in a couple tree runs also. Thinking a remap to raise the limiter would help. My sled stock was never a belt burner or blower and the secondary is stock.

I found that I could nail the rev limiter when taking off on hard pack. Made it perfect in the powder. I really like the weights first clutch kit I have ever bought and I would do it all over again. I would love to try the team tied. . . But I am not a clutching guru and I think that my setup right now works great. . .

The Team Tied works well. If you are going to get just one of the two, you will notice more of a gain with the MDS weights. The spring is very critical on the primary setup. We can pull harder with the MDS and mid and up is increased.

I added some tip weight to the mds out west last march and it seemed to get up and go but would still hit limiter which was very manageable. On the way back to the cabin remember a couple mile long pulls up to 101 on the fun meter to me thats just nuts with the gearing that gets you there. Racinstation I'll have to get ahold of you before the season as I'm sure you'll have a different combo for the weights this season. Whats your thoughts on the secondary spacer being added to the 13's?

I have the same exact experience with my mds weights. I am a little worried how to set them up with the evo 215 reflash and the full 2.5 exahust I have on the sled now. Should be making considerably more hp than last year.

Also I saw 105 on the speedo on the way back down the trail. I love the speed. I went from last to first on the way back to the cabin in less than a mile. The thing has long legs.

Turbo11T, you should be fine with a bit more weight or a softer primary spring.

nosajlleb, PM me with what the sled was doing and what your setup is and we can get you set.

m11t what is your setup exactly i just bought a 1100 turbo and live in eastern SD so elevation wise we should be close

I am running MDS weights exactly how steve at MDS set them up for me. I think they are like 86 or 87 grams. The secondary is stock. Polaris Black spring in the primary. Steve said I may need to run a poo gold here in MN. I installed them in the end of feb and we never got enough snow to ride here after that. But it was very good in the mountains. I was running just a high flow muffler at that time. Now I have a 2.5 downpipe and exhaust so I am hoping that it will need more weight in the clutch or a lighter spring. As I was on the higher end of the revs out west with my current setup but it rocked that way!!!

So it is really up in the air with what I end up with this year.

im gonna give them a call i wanna dd straight pipe mine and maybe a bov for this year the next year maybe do the 215 remap
