11 pro wont rev over 6700

Hey guys.

A friend just bought a new to him 11 pro with 1600 miles. Idles great, runs great, it just won't get up above 6700rpm. Today he put in proper weights for our elevation, a new polaris belt and plugs which made no difference. I have not ridden it but he says it just falls on its face around 6700 and that's it.

I told him to check the powervalves & hoses and they looked very clean and no holes in the bellows. It looked like someone had replaced it not long ago according to him and the hoses seemed good.

I'm thinking maybe the EV solenoid? I'm going to go check it out myself tomorrow and hopefully find something.

Thanks for any and all advice

make sure plug wires are good and not rubbed through on cylinder head bolts or EV hoses.

Make sure plug caps are good and not full of carbon and powdered plug tip stuff.

If ok,

clamp off EV hose that drains into bulkhead. Go run it.

If still bad,

Remove EVs and check for plugged up holes in cylinder and EV bases.
