11 Assault RMK suspension setup

I am heading to Island Park from Wisconsin on Feb 1. I weigh ~190-195. ~215 with gear. Does any one have a setup that they run that works great? I DO NOT care about trail manners. All I ride is backcountry in Upper Michigan and a yearly trip west. Its an 11 Assault RMK 800, SLP Stage 4. Im not much of one for huge drops or jumps, more technical riding...

Are you looking for suspension setup? What lenght track? Do you have the powder track (5.1)? Setup for deep snow? Setup for hard or hero snow?

assault setup for out west

The assault suspension front bolt that goes through the tunnel needs to be moved to the position of the pro bolt hole. This will keep the front end down.
The assault in its stock positon weelies too much for out west an digs a hole.
You will want to also loosen your front track shock a little bit at a time while your riding to avoid trenching too.
It is dumping out here now so you are going to have a great time.

Does that cause issues though, where the front of the Assault is higher due to longer shocks and wider stance?

Move the bolt, I did with no problems

Thanks guys, its a 155 with the powder track. Looking for powder setup, not packed...

Ditto on moving the front arm location up. You'll have a little more sag in the rear with this setup but the front end stays down better and it gets on the snow easier. When spring jumping season comes around I move it back down to the bottom hole.
