1000SDI gone for 09?

Ok, I've been sleeping in class here it seems. Cant find any 1000 twin sleds on the 09 lineup from Doo, so I guess that motor is gone.

Why? What happened?

The 1000 was dropped in '08 as there were not enough snow-checkers to bother making them.

Doo had enough problems with the 800 xp they had to get worked out over the summer. They didn't want to open a whole new can of worms with the 1000

Ok I hear ya on the problems with the 800, but did they also have trouble with the 1000?

As you've guessed I'm not looking that closely on Doo's models, but even so I cant recall to much bad being said about the 1000??

Ronnie, they had issues with the fuel managment, belt debris and fuel pumps.
BRP was in a warranty nightmare with the 1000's..


I still see them just quit running and die !! for no real reason..LOL

I think it's suicide,, the engine just wants a quick way out..!!>LOL

yea then when they got them figured out in 07 there wasnt a m1000 that i seen beat a good running rt yet mind you theres a lot of crappy ones...

lmao, i've never seen a rt run with an M. Some run good don't get me wrong, but they weren't all they were cracked up to be

maybe you should open your eyes then haha.... honestly they had a lot of issues but far as i know there resolved now last year we got to a steep hill that was super deep and the 05 rt 162 against the 08 sno pro cat was staring to pull the m1000 over the top if there was a bit more hill i dont think the m1000 would have made it.... but same thing set up is key...
