1000RT Recoil on 07 800R?

I have heard that the recoil (rewind starter) from the 1000RT is stronger and better than the crap recoil that comes on the 07 800R... I have had recoil issues most of this season and it is driving me nuts (2 rebuilds already). Anyways, has anyone tried the recoil from the 1000? Does it just bolt on and go or do i have to change the starting puller gear thing that is bolted to the magneto too..

Any input on this would be great.

just bolt on and go ,,the diff is the center paul(sp?) is metal not plastic like the 800...i have one on my 800

just ask Mag about the 1000 recoil, junk!. using a strap on the clutch until I mill a new recoil housing. Just have to make it run first
