1000 m Will it blow or not

well with me only making a 2 gram increase in primary weight with what it had come with stock, isn't a bad clutching change if i need to drop rpms. I have 1200 miles on a 046 belt and never pulled a cord on it or anything belt temps are low. But still have not seen a 09 M1000 completly STOCK beat it. I mean close but never beat

sorry guy's I was gone for the night, but for the last question about big air its just a bigger intake were the flex hose attaches to on the hood.As for the rest of youre replys wow some excellent replys and lots of them thanx. And I did forget to mention that I did get the 09 update too which really concerns me now,so with all that was said im a thinkin that the Y pipe should come off untill I do a box.

run it.

give it a couple test runs in the parking lot or you yard. You are not going to burn it down in 500ft pulls..check your plugs and wash to see if you need fuel adjustments or not...Every sled is diffeferent.

Im not sure but if the plugs are burning good can the temps still get too high on a longer pull. The mountains are 5 hrs away and my alt is 2300'at home so I dont think it would be a test would it.

Yes.

I would check your piston wash after a few hard WOT pulls around your yard. Sounds like you don't want to spend any more money then you already have so this is going to be your best test...If you are running fine at 2300' it is only going to be safer the higher you go. because the higher you go the less air you are going to pull in and your clutch will slighty drop motor r's the higher you go...But don't listen to me only, lots of good suggestions above.

money always seems to be the issue, but in this case I dont ride with anyone that has a box on so I have no experience with them and I am a pull and go rider. Are they something that takes forever to get dialed in,or are they a plug and ride.

can & y-pipe

Look at bikemans web site, they say 07&08 run controller or pressure reg.09&10 bolt on and go but run prem. fuel, had my 08 09 flashed and had no problems,my 09 runs good,D&D Y-pipe Jaws can prem. fuel ,2 09 sleds ride with me same setup

My 07 1000 fried a cylinder with a y pipe & can put a fuel presure regulator on it run it at 50psi im fine now.

Fuel pressure is not adjusted with the boxes. You can buy a gauge and regulator from a few places. It goes in the fuel line and you make the adjustments with the fuel pressure regulator.
