I think you mean the .405/77 spring Polaris has. The .405 is not made for the RMK skid (I think it's for a 2 up sled), but guys have installed it anyway. Do a search for "Fat Boy Springs" and you should find threads that talk about the heavier springs. I think there was an issue with the thickness of the coiled area of the spring and also the end hitting the rails.

Hey amzoch, I put the fat boys (.405/77) in my 2006 S/B and boy did they stiffen it up - zero sag, even with a tunnel FULL of ice and snow and they are on the soft setting. They did rub on the upper idler wheels because of spring thickness but after a few miles they were rubbed clear.
As for fitment on your ride I'm not sure - I'm only commenting on stiffness.
I'm 245-255 depending on the season, lol.

thanks too you all.

maybe I'll just go for 375/77 which is the stiffest original to it. And maybe upgrade to Ryde FX gas shock?

Or is it better to have 375/49? if it is to my sled?

I would recommend the .375/47 over the .375/77. I tried the 77 degree and did not see much improvement over stock after a few rides. The 47 degree seems to have a little more preload and provided a better overall ride. The 5/8" swingarm relocate will also help your issues. My sled has much less sag and better performance like this (I'm also a big guy 6'3" and 240lbs).

Do you have a part number on 375/47 ? Swingarm? wher is that on det sled (we call it probably something else in Norwegian)

Here are the spring part numbers

7042079-067 Spring, Torsion, LH, STD [.375/47 °]
7042080-067 Spring, Torsion, RH, STD [.375/47 °]

Not my Picture, but this shows the new swing arm hole relocated back 5/8"

I have ordered the 375/47 from sled-part. hope it gets better, and slightly stiffer. 5 / 8 "Swing Arm Relocation what function this with the hardness of the suspension?
