I apologize Im sure this has been covered but after searching I havent found the answer. since this sled was brand new 2 months ago it has missed or loaded up from 2000 rpm to 4600 rpm, it just loads up and misses, so I have to feather the throttle to take off smooth and when Idling down a hill it does it until I feather the throttle to 4600, after that it runs strong and bad ***. I have heard guys call this a bog. I have changed the primary spring and the belt and adjusted the deflection, I put a slp blue/pink spring and a dayco xtx belt which I have 900 miles on the belt and it looks great, when hillclimbing it tachs at 8090 thats about perfect, I want to get a can but I dont want it to sound like crap unless I pin it. I am going to change plugs this week, I have pulled 2 plugs for a check and they were black and wet, but that was after loading and unloading. to take this sled to a dealer isnt something I want to do until the season is over, because I will have to haul it min. 150 miles 1 way and loose it for 2 to 4 weeks

This was/is a common with the '09 and was due to over- oiling. You should check your oil to gas ratio for a couple trips. Mine was 36:1 and I went thru 3 sets of plugs in 700 miles. Lenghtened oil rod 1 turn and then it was 40:1 and I've put on about 400 miles, so far so good, but still might be over-oiling a little. I know of 1 sled that the owner turned down flow 3 turns. But if this is your 1st plug change in 900 miles makes me wonder if that's the problem. Anyway it's a good bet, can't hurt to monitor oil/gas ratio. Also there's a lenghty thread on here somewhere about over- oiling. Good luck.

this sounds true thank you , when I warm my sled up then try to unload it smokes very bad and almost doesnt have enough power to move because its so loaded up, having 4 plugs and I have cleaned 1 per cyl already , I have been able to hear 1 plug fouled the last time out , it would hit at high rmp but not at low and midrange. I will pull the exhaust tomorrow and pull all 4, they should be coco brown because I rode it straight from the trail to trailer without idling, but I bet they are wet black and oily. it seems to use alot of oil and Idling is a smoke fest

I just changed plugs and the electrode was tan/brn on one side and black on other side and around the electrode was all black, so I filled with 22 ounces of oil and then filled with gas and it took 5 gal . That is a 29:1 ratio thats way rich it should be 40:1. I will check 2 more times before I adjust anything. It really sounded poppy after starting with new plugs, it sounded great but I didnt run long so I dont foul the new plugs

Mine's done this too on occassion. Pain in the butt but it always snaps out of it when I get on the throttle. Of course my dealer says it's my fault. :face-icon-small-sho

I know , when I pin it it runs perfect, but the other day I was boondocking an it really ran perfect , it was so smooth like a sewing machine, it really felt good and I didn't have to jack the throttle off all day and thats how I want it to run. smooth. I ride with my buddy and he rides a 10 dragon 800 and its smooth, but my a/c has towed him in and I do have more power on top, but it sure was comfy when it was smooth, it didn't even run that good the day I bought it. I put the slp blue pink spring but didn't notice any difference, it had a black/pink from factory I think, is the blu/pink from slp the same thing
