I have 58 weights in and a slp pipe. I was hitting 8500 hundred sometimes 8600 for only a split second in deep deep powder. It ran amazing nuthing was reaching where i was going. I am just wondering if i am doing damage running that high rpm. I rode at a lower elevation and will ride their quite a bit around 6 to 8k. I still go up 8 to 10 k alot too. So i guess i need to switch weights like every time i go low and high is their any easy way to do this or do u have to pull the clutch.

that's too high. try 10 60's or 10 62's. No you don't have to pull the clutch, just pry open the spider and stick a socket in between the spider and the cover to hold it open and change weights. takes about 5 minutes. You shouldn't need to change weights if you go from 6-10k, just use weights that work between 6-8k I'm sure you wont notice much difference. You are losing a bit of performance spinning it that fast. Shoot for 8200 max. Don't rely on your max rpm recall, it will show rpm spikes way higher than what you are actually spinning while in a steady climb. Try to watch where your rpm is sitting while under a full load climb

The 58's are perfect for your setup starting at about 8,000' Below that to about 6,000' run the stock weights that came with the sled, 10-60's and you will be happy.

.

maybe 59s or little less secondary spring try to load the motor a little more to bring the r's down just a tad to 8400-8500 thats where mine seemed to run the best

yes that was with my slp single i had i would sugest to try different rpms ive had good luck turning more rpms than sugested there are alot of 800 guys that have been finding the same thing. i would say to try differnt rpms if your sled dont run better it dont run better:D

rpms

It ran the best it has all year it was insane and the other rides i was turning 8200 to 8300 but i think that 8500 was sick!!!! I just wondered if it is gonna hurt bearings or something.
