1 robber killed, 1 wounded in home invasion

This reminds me i need to order more clips from Smith&Wesson.

If anyone breaks into my house they go home in a body bag , .45 hollow point rounds comming at you . And i have been taught to empty the clip and reload for saftey. Nothing worse than a partial clip .

I hope no one ever breaks into my house , that would make one hell of a mess.

BURLEY - David James Prano, 45, of Rupert, was arrested by the Cassia County Sheriff's Office Wednesday on charges of attempted murder, two counts of aggravated assault, robbery with a deadly weapon, and grand theft.

The charges stem from an alleged incident Monday near Declo at 2550 East, 300 South, according to the sheriff's office. A man attempted to purchase an ATV with $2,000 cash from Prano and two other people, the sheriff's office said. They allegedly robbed the victim, taking the money at gunpoint, according to Cassia County Undersheriff George Warrell. The unidentified victim was uninjured, Warrell said.

During the incident, another man driving a Chevy Tahoe approached the scene while passing through an intersection and diverted the suspects' attention, Warrell said. Prano and one other man fired several shots at the vehicle with a rifle and a shotgun, according to Warrell. One of the rounds from the rifle pierced the windshield on the driver's side, Warrell said. While the Tahoe sustained damage from the gunfire, the driver was uninjured.

After the shooting, the robbery victim flagged down another vehicle and jumped in, according to Warrell.

"I think at that point, they were basically letting him go," Warrell said. "I have no idea why they shot at the other guy."

Warrell did, however, speculate that meth may have played a role in the incident.

"People on drugs get paranoid and react differently than you and I would," he said. "It was a set-up from the get-go."

The two unknown accomplices are described as a Hispanic male with short hair about 30 years old and a thin white male about 20 years old. Warrell said the Hispanic male was reported to have been driving a dark blue pickup, possibly a Chevy S-10
