1" bar riser on 13 Pro

OK, all of you hot riders, I need some advice. I have a 13 Pro. one of my riding buddies suggested that a 1" bar riser will help me. I am 6'1" tall. However, I do have some flexibilty issues in my neck and lower back (college football, powerlifting, dirt biking, snowmobiling) from various accidents and activities. I want to try it but I figured that someone out there can give me some thoughts on the pros and cons. PM me. Thanks.

I prefer my bars to be at the height where when I'm standing, I can pull up on the bars immediately. Meaning, my arms are straight as I'm standing. If your arms are bent they are too high, if you aren't standing comfortable, they are too short.

I`m 6 2" and I am thinking about a 2" riser. Haven`t done it yet so can`t say if it is better or not. I think it will be better than a 1" riser for arm position.

I'm 5'11. I rode with a 2" riser all last year. For mountain riding I loved it. For jumping it was to high and in the way. I went back to stock Pro Taper height to start this winter. So far I'm liking it. I would try a 1" riser to start with.

If you can get a 1", do it.

I'm 6'1"-6'2", I currently have a 2", I want to cut it in half.

I feel 2" is every so slightly too tall, and puts the bars in odd spots at certain times...usually when I really don't need them in an ackward spot.

But stock felt too short for me..

Somewhere between 3/4"-1.5" I think will be the sweet spot for me.

I got a one inch riser when I bought my pro. Never used it and dont see the need to... Ill sell it to you if you want... Polaris oem riser never been used. Let me know.

Ran a 1" for two years on my 11 and installed it on my 13 before I rode it. I am just over 6'-1". I like to be able to stand without being hunched over. 1" seems to be just enough.

Thanks for the replies. My profile shows my age (60) which is part of the problem for sure. I normally ride with 30 year olds. I get where they go but it busts my rear and I am in good shape. I love it too much to quit but I am seeing my skills erode a little bit. Enjoy the snow.
