09XP Airbox Removal / Jetting....Help

Does anyone have experience removing the stock airbox on the 09XP? I just installed an SLP Pipe/Can and it appears that I need to remove the air box to pull the carbs to change the jets. I am having a heck of a time trying to get the airbox to release and slide out. Any input would be appreciated.

Also, it looks like I need to pull the carbs out completely to change the jet's. Does anyone know if there is enough room to do this with the carbs in place?

This is my first Ski-Doo I have been riding Poalris's for ever so all input is welcome. I don't know my way around this sled very well.

changing the jets is a royal pain in the ***. i hope we get efi soon. im sure wyo ta sent you some good info so good luck. even after having done it multiple times, i still hate it onthese sleds

Hopefully my set up will come tomorrow and I know it will be a total reda-- trying to change the jets and shim the needles. If only the secondary was removable. Plus when I ride it back home I get to rejet again so I'll have twice the fun.

Open the left side panel - remove belt guard - loosen the snorkel by lifting the tab, then rotate the front portion slightly - there is another tab just below where the brake line runs through a guide on the airbox - push that tab and the entire lower airbox slides out WITHOUT touching the carbs - the rest is easy... There is room to tilt the carbs and remove the plugs from the float bowls to access the main jets... I pulled the fuel line off the pump to gain more room...

Check out this parts blow up - part number 15 is the snorkel - part number 19 is the lower airbox that slides off of part number 22 which remains attached to the carbs with screws:

Here's the link for the carb parts blow up - remove Number 3 (the plug in the bottom of the float bowl with a 10mm allen wrench), then remove the main jet with a 6mm socket:

Thanks for the feedback and links to the parts blow up.....all very helpful, makes the whole thing alot simpler. I got some other feedback on the jeting. Most of my riding is between 5000-9000 feet so I think I will stick with stock mains (480) and see how it does....Thanks
