09' XP Spark Plugs?

Some of them came from the factory with the 10's, they are the incorrect plug. Go to the dealer and exchange them for 9's.

What does the "c" mean in the plug numbers? I'm assuming it means constant, as in it isn't adjustable. Because i run regular br9es plus in other motors and was thinking about running them in the 800r too cause they are essentially the same except for the grounding strap.

the BR9ECS burns wamer than the BR10ECS mine came with the 10's i contacted my dealer and they said its not a big problem they will change them at the 10hr inspection

My 09' XP has BR10ECS plugs in it from the factory. The book and dealer say use BR9ECS, why the difference?

What is the best plug for a 07 rev 800?

Thanks.

Should be running 9's
I personally like the BR9EIX plugs better than the regular NGK plug
The "C" stands for the concave the grounding threads have around the electrode.

Check this, its pretty informative :)

2nd say out sled starting missing in the upper mid range and just running poorly. Had 10's in it. If you got get rid of them its too cold. Turbo AL said they have seen zero difference in the 15 dollar 9 and the $5 ones.

What's the part number of the $5 ones? All I can get around here is a box of 10 each BR9ECS, and only a box for $10 each. Owey

my 09 everest came with 10's and broke it in on them, and my friend mentioned this. We were at a dealer in squamish and Karl said he contacted BRP and they said it will not make a difference. I looked and my spares were the 9's so just switched them out anyway and will keep the 10's as my spares.

Dude get on the net. First search $6 free shipping no tax.

I guess your talking to me, but my name's not dude.

And, how could I read your reply, if I were not already on the net?

I did the search you suggested. search net

It seems to reference children's toys, and underwear mostly.

Maybe there's a cipher skillfully encrypted within your rejoinder, unfortunately I may require another clue.

I am still curious as to the difference in the BR9ES and BR9ECS besides the obvious difference in price. What exactly does the concave inside of the threads do to change performance of the plug? As far as I can tell the plugs are identical other than this. Heat range, insulator, tip etc. are all the same, so the spark and temp also should be the same, no?

C = Low Angle Ground Electrode.... Big fat hairy deal - run the BR9ES for $2 or less!

Yes I know that C = Low Angle Ground Electrode, but that doesn't answer the question of what is the difference in performance of the plug. I agree that running the $2 plug versus the $7 plug but want to make sure there isn't a noticeable difference in performance or problem with warranty if not using "factory" specified.

That's why you need to buy at least one set of expensive plugs. Use them a little, and put them back in before taking for warranty work.

Thanks aadougie and gmaredd, that's what I needed to know.

The ECS runs cooler than the ES at WOT. Back in the day a few guys tried to get by with ES in their lake racer SRX's(they call for ECS as well). Melted 'em down going along at top speed.

On the other hand many people have run the ES on the same sleds and no issues.
