1- How can i get to the bolt for the seat are they under the plastic? the seat is loose and moves a little.
2- I am looking for the number on the updated xp belt the sled has 270 miles and looks like it has the original belt on it the guy gave me a new belt and it looks difffernt belt numbers are 417 300 197 on the new one.
3- Changing the belt almost seems like a task in it self with having to adjust the tension any tips dont wanna mess things up if i can help it.

To remove the seat put your hand between the gas tank and the seat and push up on the plastic flap. The seat should slide back and off. There are no bolts holding it on. The belt is the 377. Some like them and some do not. There should be the tools in the tool kit to remove it and put on the new one on. Do you have a plastic part on the secondary or the metal one from 09?

What he said ^^^ and get the '09 aluminum belt adjuster, it makes changing belts quick and easy and you don't have to reset deflection. Run either -377 or -288 belt.

seat

Is the seat moving, or the gas tank? When I polished out my tunnel I ended up taking the gas tank off but when i put it back together noticed that the gas tank had been rubbing against the tunnel, so i ended up putting some rubber weather stripping in between the gas tank and tunnel, out of sigt of course and then tightened sown the two bars over the seat as well as i could. That seemed to resolve the problem.

The 197 belt is what the recommend for the 600's. IMO they suck on a 600....put it on an 800 and your screwed. Stick with the 377 or 288.

how can i tell if its a 377 or 288 the belt thats on it is the one that came with the sled. could someone show me a pic of a plastic and aluminum belt adjuster ? rode the sled for the 2nd time this week goes good makes some weird vibration noises all ok but one thing that it is doing that i dont like is the throtle is sticking on the sled anyone else deal with this i have the bars in the highest postion the throttle cable doesnt seem to be to tight? Ive read things like lube the cable that it gets dry? and slides in the carbs sticking?

Some say it is the throttle cable freezing up? I bought some De-icier spray as someone suggested on here. Been spraying it down the cable at the end of the day. Also read on here where someones cable was bad, frayed i think?

The number is on the belt. Take that belt cover off and you can read the number. The part number is 415 129 409 for the part that replaces that plastic piece. Then you can change a belt just like the older Doo's. Make sure and set the deflection. Use a pipe wrench and make sure it is tight. Maybe some blue locktight. Make sure all the updates are done to that 08. The dealer will do them free. The cable should be under warranty also. Take it to a dealer and have them fix it.

took a look at the belt tonight took it off the sled seems smoked its all flopy and weak but any ways i did notice the belt was on the sled the wrong way? the drive arrow was pointing in the wrong direction so i fliped it and put it on the right way and tryed to adjust the belt like the manual said with the stiching visable a little bit above the clutch. added some cable lube so i guess ill be the first to know.
