09 Xp leaking gas?

My 09 xp 800 is leaking gas I dont know from were any ideas?

Probably leaking at the fuel vent line which is located in front of the shock tower on the clutch side, mine does this as well. There is a check valve on the top of the gas tank but these tanks seem to pressure up quite a bit in warmish weather - next time you have ridden for about 30 minutes or so undo the gas cap - you will be surprised by the amount of pressure.
I moved my vent line so that gas isn't coming out near anything hot, and I don't fill the tank very full either. My dealer doesn't know what to do about it??

check your inspection nut on the front rs by the oil tank, my o ring was torn there its like a 3" plastic nut. used to get the sending units and parts out of tank.

lightening800 thanks, I went out and checked, looks like that's the problem. What's the easiest way to get that piece out? Tell me your secret......

just pull the recoil handle and bezel off, there is a special tool to get the nut off but a larger pair of 90 degree snap ring pliers did the trick. it just unscrews like a normal nut and there is a large green o ring under it.
