09 vs 08 XP air intake

Took a look at an 09 for the 1st time today.
Other than having a limb knock the filter off,
I thought the size and shape was a big improvement.

Anybody check into what is involved in changing an 08 to an 09 setup? price?

Just a foam push in Element for 09'

Looks like remove the screen material from your 08', install the 09-which is a foam element with a temish cover(flows air/blocks water,snow). Just pushed in place, not sure I like this yet. Gonna have to keep an eye on it, or I'll lose it somewhere in the sticks.

Have a look at RPM composites they make a reflection guard for the 08/09 xp's, on both the intake and exhaust sides...might help keep snow and or branches from rippin out the foam insert.

09 intake

i didnt like the 09 intake either. the foam fits tight behind the plastic bar looks alright to me. i bought the rmp composites intake deflector and should work as good as it looks. also the vents are from idahodoo on doo talk. i got a couple sets off him too, they look sweet and will let some air in there!!!

Does anyone else make an intake cover? I don't really like the carbon look. Would like to find one made of aluminum.
