09 TD800 BD Fuel Numbers.....help

Looking for some advice....I just added the BD intercooler to my TD8, I am running 100% race gas at 10 lbs boost (5000-8000 elev). I am running the BD starting numbers as they worked pretty well on PG before I added the intercooler. I am also using the BD controller and EBC. It seems to be lean above 5000 rpm at the mid to upper throttle position. I don't have an AFR gauge but it is cutting out like there is not sufficient fuel, EGT's are running 950-1125. Does anyone have experience with this setup and what is working for fuel / psi setting? Thought I would ask before making changes. Thanks.

fuel numbers

I have the 08 800 BD PG turboed dragon with the mini cooler. I am running 3000 rpm -2, 2, 0, 5000rpm 2, 2, 0, psi 39, 47, 52. It sounds like your still rich, your egt's are still low. If I remember correctly, when we upgraded to the mini cooler we had to lower our psi #'s again from where we originally had them.

Here is what I would do. First off have you changed out your fuel filter? I would do that if you haven't lately to make sure you are getting adequate fuel supply.(yearly) Some guys have lean burned down their engine only to find out it was due to a clogged filter. Next, if it feels like, and sounds like it is lean than go with that first. Egts can show rich of peak and lean of peak, so go off what it feels and sounds like first. I would go with it's lean, because that's safer, first. Then determine where you need to richen it up at. Then increase your number/s to richen it up at that point first and see if it improves or gets worse. Watch and see what your egts do. After this you will be able to tune it and you can tune using your egts now that you know what side of the peak they are on. More than likely you are rich, but this is a safe way to check. You could also pull your plugs and check them, but if you haven't rode much since the mods it may be hard to have anything show up yet.
