09 springs

I thought I read somewhere that in 09 doo was making two different sets of springs for the summits to help against the "sag" problem. From what I thought I heard there was different set of springs offered for riders over 180lbs and/or for the riders that carrier gas/gear. Is this true? Did they all come with the lighter lbs springs stock? Just standing on the 09 when picked up seemed way soft. I know, I know I havent ridden it yet but even when I crancked the front to the 4 setting and the rear springs set on the highest setting it still is soft. Did anyone else have this or expereience this problem? Its a 146x and I am 195lbs. Thanks for the info fellas, and I know I could use to lose a couple lbs's myself but that is not the answer I'm looking for.

09 Springs

Fought the same issue all last winter on 08 XP, soft rear suspension. Read some where that stock springs are good to 160 lbs-170 lbs. I hit about 195 and add fuel caddy, misc etc adds 30 plus. Understand from dealer that DOO fixed the binding issue and shocks but stayed with the standard springs. I purchased a pair of HD springs. Part # 505071492 for $62.00. Also have purchased a new suspension pkg from Tom's Snowmobile and Service. Tom has a lot of experience with DOO, especially front and rear suspensions. If you want to talk to a dealer that knows DOO give them a call 503-682-1128 or e-mail www.tomssnowmobile.com Hope this helps
